Great sex is a trance state. We learn to stay in our bodies and let transportive waves of pleasure take us out into altered states. Breathwork is also a trance state, so it lends itself to the exploration of emotion, presence, and journey. We allow known and unknown sensations to arise, change and shift shape as they travel through us. Marisa has been exploring Breathwork as a tool for expanded sexuality. We dive in to our embodied “yes” and “no”-- the vibration of them in our body, and when they were not heard by ourselves and others. Through a supportive container, we express it all fully.
Also, the heights of pleasure and ecstatic states, and potential, vulnerable and emotional states of connection in Sex open the door to catharsis of various emotions. Sex itself is a catharsis. We may block the way to ecstatic states, to pleasure because we are blocking and afraid of the catharsis. Breathwork is a space to explore catharsis and create room and safety to explore the release of blocked energy and emotions which may being safety and freedom into the space of our sexuality.

Marisa will open the circle with a meditation and statements of intention. We are invited to bring our guides, mentors, angels and supports. Breathwork is an active three part breath that drops us into the heart and body, and out of the mind. Marisa guides you into a safe space to be witnessed, held and supported as the breath makes room for oxygen to flood your system. This way of breathing encourages deeper nourishing and releasing, moving energy through the whole system on every level. The organs, the brain, lungs, heart, and skin get scrubbed, washed, and fed.
After the active Breathwork practice there is time to relax, lay with a quiet easy breath and Rest in Love. Marisa will offer Reiki to anyone who wishes to receive it.
